Lore Equipment : The armor worn by the mythical Dryad, Silva. It is woven with the most pure and powerful form of nature magic, as Silva herself drew from the collective life force of every plant in Terraria during the fabrication of the armor.

This eternal pool of vitality is stored within the armor itself, and upon its wearer sustaining injuries, lends its spirit, mending their injuries, and healing their scars. Of course, such rejuvenating power is difficult to sustain, and the armor must take time to renew its pool of mana, limiting its abilities. Lore Silva : From the first day creatures probed their way onto solid ground, plant life had always held the upper hand in demographics. Trees spread their boughs over quiet hills, and algae crept its way along raging waterfalls, each leading their own, quiet lives.

However, predecessor and overseer to it all, is the first nature spirit, Silva. Having been borne from the conceptualization of flora, and becoming the first Dryad, Silva was one of immense wisdom and power. With her connection to all the plant life in the land of Terraria, her health and vitality were linked to the wellbeing of its entire population, from the sprawling forests to each blade of grass.

She would continue to live as long as somewhere, the tiniest plant still spread its leaves. As she only awoke when nature was in great peril, rarely did anyone see her. Thus, she was naught but a legend. The devastation caused by the attack was on the scale that Silva was weakened considerably.

In order to stop further destruction, she made the decision to stay conscious until her power had returned. Rather than waiting, she took her chances, and decided to make herself known to the forces of Braelor and Statis.

Considerably encouraged by the appearance of a powerful nature spirit, the two warriors went to battle, aiming to strike down the Tyrant. They never returned. In response, she had prepared a contingency. Having suffocated Silva to a near comatose state, Calamitas finally released control of the toxins, collapsing from the strain of containing the Nature Spirit, and allowing the waste to flow into the waters of the ocean.

As Silva sank with the filth, the form of the Dryad began to crumble away. Only her soul was confined to the depths of the Abyss, where the constant flow of noxious chemicals spewing from hydrothermal vents kept her from gathering enough power to rise once more.

However, her influence as a powerful Dryad continues to be apparent, as her very presence allows plant life to grow in the abyss, where not even a trace of light can breach the darkness.

While homeless: "I have not seen such a sky in decades. Who are you, to so brazenly march against that Tyrant? It's been many, many years. If you would allow me to conjure a blizzard every now and then It's far too warm for my tastes We mages often rely on celestial bodies and their fragments to enhance our mana.

Why utilize the rotting corpses of people, when you could form far more elegant servants of ice? Decades ago, I came across it and amplified the climate with my magic.

I am in the process of weaving a spell, which requires great focus. Tell me, what do you think of ice magic? I feel like all I'm good for during these events is making ice cubes and slushies. I wish you the best of luck on your future endeavours. Watching the glint of throwing stars as they reflect the moon. Makes sneaking around a little more difficult. Of course, for a price. For some reason it's always snakes. Why does it always have to be snakes! It's been a long time, so whatever.

Just do a good job out there. Some people never got that luxury. Well, YOU craft them, I'll steal em. Get to that, and I'll share some of my collection too! Makes you wonder who could afford to leave em all around.

Let's say both of us attest that is untrue. We're still alive. The dead are dead, they've got nothing to do with it. Show em to me if you ever get the time. I learned that the hard way. It ain't like they can pick things up. Mostly cause they're all dead. Before I could get a chunk of the stuff Preferably candle-lit with a hefty supply of booze? What things, you might ask? Well, the point is to forget them, isn't it?

Might just drink so much that I get poisoned again. Oh wait, you'd die. Well, not anymore, but still.

I don't mind company, but I'd rather be left alone at night. Alright, fine, but don't tell anyone I sold you these. Anyway, what do you want this time? Well, they were right. Sorry, just had a minor stroke! Want one? Blood is fuel, dumbass. Shouldn't you be bumbling around and dying for my amusement? For drinks, of course. The blue sexy one, not the obese cucumber. Put a stop to this inclement weather this instant before it ruins my hair!

I need scissors! It's been rough, but I think I'm on the right track now. Nice day for it. You could come too, but only if you bring snacks for us. He's not wanted. It had to be the largest icicle I'd ever seen.

I'd offer her a drink, but I don't think she'd enjoy it. Looks like something I'd carry around if I was 5 years old. I created it by mixing fairy dust, crystallized cave sweat and other magical crap. Hope you enjoy it, I know I will. Don't question my transformation preferences! If you found that statement irritating, good. Keep it up, your enemies are racking up quite the kill count! Well, not really, but I feel like you'd be part of that statistic.

I could dodge better than you even if I were drunk high. That you're bad and should feel bad? That much was known already. You are now, officially, the biggest loser in Terraria's history! Who was number two? Hell if I know. While homeless: "How much more has the world fallen to ruin? Even the Tyrant's empire But I will assist you to honor their memory. Our males carry the eggs until they hatch.

Ah, that is a secret. No, actually I can breathe air like you! The way the light refracted and shone over our coral homes You should take care. The peace of the night is welcome.

I do not sleep, it is part of my nature. What is a vuvuzela? We will throw him to the Trashers. Perhaps it got to his head. But so many years have passed, and she too has suffered much. Which one then, is the cause for these? Such violence. It is unlikely that they will be as friendly towards you as I have been.

The veil has fallen, and the world begins to show its true colors. I hope you will trek a righteous path, though even I am not sure what that may be. To see them in all their glory It gave me chills. When you defeat certain bosses you will undo the ancient magic which conceals those materials. It was once a grand kingdom, not too different from my own. However, it also met a similar fate. I would not advise going down there, unless you seek a painful death.

That trench is full of powerful creatures that could devour you in a heartbeat. I would explore the dungeon first. The toxic waters will burn your skin, but if you can brave them you will be able to reach the Abyss, where there are powerful weapons and dangers aplenty. Many of the bodies were dumped into the ocean. This, along with severe pollution from the heydays of Draedon's experiments have turned a paradise into a wasteland. You might just unveil a greater threat than what was there before.

You can take whatever is in them, but a few items you may not be able to use until much later. There are some who say that if you were able to defeat the gods which his clan once worshipped you would be able to harness some of his powers. None of us know of its true purpose, however, the ancient Eidolist cultists used it for worship before Lord Yharim took it over. However, the recent wars and pollution have tipped the balance out of favor. Archaic defenses may remain, but the goods inside may be worth your while.

Rumor has it he's been locked away in an icy prison by Lord Yharim. Perhaps you would be able to free him if Cryogen was destroyed. Some of them may require more than just the ore itself to create. You never know if you can engineer them into stronger weapons in the future. It might provide some useful weaponry. Yharim despised that place, and did everything he could to raze it to the ground.

It might explain a few things about him. You will find a powerful enemy to fight, which will unleash the full fervor of the jungle once defeated. Do not underestimate it! You might accidentally unleash a new threat in the jungle that needs to be quelled.

You may not wish to disturb the Lihzard's idol, the Golem. It's quite the destructive force. In order to gain Yharim's attention, however, you may need to defeat them. You might be able to mine some of the volcanic rubble contained within. This is probably one of the few he shelved for being too terrible. The Dragonfolly and its swarming offspring should be eliminated before their numbers spiral out of control.

If you destroy enough and gather their essence together you shall be able to capture the attention of the Profaned Guardians.
